In less than a month, GOT Season 7 will be out for the world to witness a global phenomena that will glue us to our screens. July 16 is not that far now, but the trailers being dropped on us like wildfire make the wait difficult. To test our patience, GOT Season 7 Trailer 2 was released yesterday, and my god, it is too much to handle.
The trailer begins with Sansa Stark taking a stroll and Littlefinger’s haunting voice over that suggests what he plans on doing. He tells Sansa to not just think about the fight in the North or the South, but everywhere. He tells her to be always preparing for war, everywhere. Nobody knows what Littlefinger is up to. We just hope Sansa isn’t making another mistake by trusting him.
Next shot is of the gate at Castle Black, with Bran and Meera preparing to cross back to the southern side of the wall. Bran is going to be back. Further into the trailer, we see him warging. Ravens are seen wandering over the army of the dead, which could possible mean that Bran is keeping an eye on the White Walkers. We also see an old man keeping an eye on Bran. Did Bran time travel again or are we going to see a new character help Bran get a direction to whatever it is that he’s doing? We’ll know soon.
Jon Snow, the King in the North is seen far up in the North, ready to battle the White Walkers with a few others. I’m sure there will be a whole episode dedicated to this epic fight, with Berric Dandarion helping Jon fight the Great War. There’s a possibility of Benjen Stark returning to save his beloved nephew. There’s no knowing of the fate of Jon because we really don’t know what will happen of him. We certainly don’t want to see him die, the scars from Season 5 are still visible on our hearts. If he’s dying this season too, we hope Berric will resurrect him as the world needs to know that Jon is not Ned Stark’s bastard but a Stark and a Targaryen by blood.
Things are pretty weird at Kings Landing. Cersei is seen visiting the dungeon at Red Keep, which may mean that she’s there to visit Septa Unella, who’s condition is worse than death right now. However, Jaime Lannister is seen a lot through the trailer. First he’s seen strolling on the parapets of the Red Keep. Then we see him behind many archers of the Lannister army along with Bronn and finally, we see him riding towards something with a blood red face ready to slice something or someone that has pissed him off. Who could it be? Cersei? We surely do hope.
Daenerys finally arrives at Westeros. After six seasons of talking about taking back what belongs to her, we finally see her getting somewhere. Arriving at her ancestral home, Dragonstone, Dany is set to claim her right to the Iron Throne. With her dragons that are larger than ever, and Tyrion to advise her as the Hand of the Queen, we’re pretty sure things are going to get interesting. The Dothrakis led by Drogon are ready to set the battlefield on fire, although we don’t really know who they are fighting against. Tyrion is still looking pretty amazed by the dragons, and also a little weird because this is the first time he’s back home after being sentenced by his own family. We have a lot of hopes from you Tyrion, do what you do best.
Euron Greyjoy and his fleet look like they’ve formed an alliance with the Lannisters at Kings Landing. Cersei said in the first trailer that they have enemies everywhere. But maybe they do form an alliance with Euron. It has been stated that Euron’s character is going to make Ramsay Bolton look like a kid. Sandor Clegane is also seen in the trailer, fighting someone. We see Yara and Theon, possibly witnessing the dragons in awe. Grey Worm and Missandei put an end to “will they won’t they” and just go with the flow. We see badass Arya Stark, riding a horse with Needle by her side. Brienne and Podrick arrive at Winterfell.
The one thing that has us all gripped is the Great War. With only 7 episodes in the Season 7, we’re only 15 episodes away from knowing who is it going to be, the ruler of Westeros. Will the army of the dead win? Or do humans stand a chance against them? July 16, just like the winter, will be here soon.
