Linkin Park was and still is a huge rock band that’s going stay with us for many more years. Who can forget feeling the lyrics of Numb while sitting with your best friends? Rising to fame with their album Hybrid Theory, Linkin Park started resonating with every teenager. With the sad news that hit the world of music today, our childhood is gone with Chester Bennington.

The lead singer of Linkin Park was among the most brilliant artists the world has seen. It’s just so sad to be witnessing such an important part of our childhood to not be in this world anymore. Songs like Iridescent, Leave Out All The Rest, In The End, Breaking The Habit, Crawling, Bleed It Out and Waiting For The End, to name a few are still a part of our playlists. Mike Shinoda, one of the founders of the hard rock band confirmed the news of Bennington’s sad demise on his Twitter. “Shocked and heartbroken, but it’s true. An official statement will come out as soon as we have one.”, he tweeted, and it breaks our hearts.

Chester Bennington had struggled with substance abuse and had a troubled childhood, about which he spoke about openly. His music was an inspiration for many of us, with beautiful lyrics penned down to get deep in our hearts and stay there forever.

With him gone, our childhood seems getting distant. Also, it speaks volumes of how lightly we take mental issues. If someone you know is acting different or secluding themselves, let them they are not alone. Mental health is important and nobody deserves to feel alone. Talk to people. Let’s move forward together and support each other.
