We’ve all grown up watching Bollywood movies. Some were shady, some we’re ready to die for. Bollywood has blessed us with some amazing characters that are going to stay with us till the end of time. We’re cult followers of these characters. Have you thought what if these Bollywood characters were your roommates? How much fun would that be?
For someone who’s catchphrase is “Mera naam hai Bulla, rakhta hun khulla“, there’s not really much left for imagination. Living with Bulla is going to be fun as long as he just stays in his room and never comes out. As long as we only hear his voice, that deep, funny and intense voice saying the most nonsense of things, living with Bulla would be the best thing ever.
Andaz Apna Apna is without a doubt one of the best movies Bollywood has given us. It’s like wine, the more you watch, the better it gets. Living with Amar, one of the awesome characters in the movie, would be both fun and irritating. It would be fun because he’s always funny cracking jokes all the time. It would be irritating because you would never have money in your wallet.
Hera Pheri was a story of Raju, Shyam and Baburao. But it was Baburao who stole the show completely. Living with Baburao would be the best thing ever. He would be the best roommate for two reasons. Firstly, because with him there would be unlimited supply of alcohol. By hook or crook, he would make sure there’s booze in the house. Secondly, he’s a really funny person to be around.
Sholay’s Samba is a hilarious character. Throughout the movie, he would only talk when asked something. Other than that, you would never really hear him say a word. All we want our roommates to be less dramatic, paying rents on time and not respect our privacy more than anything else. Samba has all of these qualities in him. Best roommate ever, no?
Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge is a modern age classic. Raj and Simran made us fall in love with them, and they became a pair we were never going to forget easily. The optimistic and hopeless romantic Raj would be a good roommate to live with. The minute he falls in love, he would go to ends of the earth to find her leaving the whole house to you. You can host house parties without worrying about anything.
Karan Johar’s Kuch Kuch Hota Hai was a lesson on love and friendship. The Raj-Tina-Anjali trio became a sensation among the youth, especially Anjali. However, living with Anjali wouldn’t be as much fun. Watching her cry over a boy instead of gathering the courage to tell him how she feels wouldn’t be something anyone would want to deal with. Other than that, she’s chill.
Who’d you pick?
